AMY’S SNOW JOB
The Boulevard has created an original, locally created playlet that showcases some of Milwaukee’s finest theatrical and artistic talent. This witty satire on recent judicial events marks Boulevard’s debut into the online performance sector. This charming short piece is entitled AMY’S SNOW JOB and is written by Milwaukee’s favorite triple threat talent (actor, director, writer) David Flores and features some of Milwaukee’s brightest artists, including Wendi Bazar (voice performer), David Ferrie (voice talent), Jason Krukowski (graphic design), Troy Freund (photography), Patrizia Powell (narration) and César Gamiño (editor).
Taken together, our December online presentation & our end-of-year support drive will remind our friends and supporters that in our 35th anniversary season, Boulevard Theatre requires sustained community support. Both the online presentation and our friendly, whimsical support drive will be entertaining and yet provocative, while continuing Boulevard’s commitment to local talent and to serving our local community.
For our upcoming December end-of-year fund drive, a generous donor that has promised to match a significant portion of our attainable end-of-year target goal.
To honor a new year and a new beginning, we hope to raise a modest $2021.00 during the month of December. This amount will enable the Boulevard to cover necessary expenses, such as the monthly rental for our storage and office space, small monthly stipends, and funds to plan the second half of our 35th anniversary season, such as an online, cyber presentation of the new script (“SHOOT“) that is being workshopped, as well as other plans.
Our generous donor has promised to match up up to 50% of funds raised during the month of December, up to an agreed-upon generous limit of $2000. While my initial hopes were to raise ”around” $1000+, if we are able to raise funds up to $2000, this gracious angel will double that amount! To enjoy that holiday bounty would ensure the health and stability of our 35th anniversary season (ending on June 30, 2021).
Please forgive my bluntness, but do you imagine you might consider “gifting” a portion of the funds that we need to raise for this phenomenal match opportunity? Your gift – of any size – would assist the Boulevard in continuing to thrive – not only in our 35th anniversary season – but beyond this commemorative year, as well.
Of course — and I hope this goes without saying— that I understand that the past year has been unpredictable for all of us. And if you have contributed in the past, your previous help and support proved to be a true lifeline, a genuine lifesaver to our little theatre. With your past generous assistance, the Boulevard Theatre was able to continue to stage Milwaukee premieres, consistently produce new cutting-edge scripts, and to expand our ability to offer exposure, training, and showcases for both emerging and returning theatrical talent (actors, directors, writers, and volunteers) from all diverse backgrounds. Thank you for your previous support and belief.
However? … If you are able to make a donation to our vital campaign, please know how much your generosity would be appreciated. Send all gifts/mail to: The Boulevard Theatre, Post Office Box 238, Milwaukee, WI 53201.
Donations may also be made at the Facebook fundraiser page at:

I look forward to hearing from you, at your leisure….
