ABOUT THE SHOW:
If you enjoyed last April’s standing-room-only staging of the pharmaceutical farce Rx at the Plymouth Church, you’ll adore this charming, affecting tale of a Jewish grandmother and granddaughter traveling across backwoods America and the men who cross their paths (and hearts!).
Circumstances, both hilarious and tragic, bring together the young Israeli granddaughter, who has little command of English, and a young American man, who has little command of romance. Is their inevitable love an accident…or is it destiny, generations in the making? Jason Odell Williams’ HANDLE WITH CARE is an engaging, 100-minute script which reminds us of the power of redemption.
This performance was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Jason Odell Williams’ HANDLE WITH CARE is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

TICKET POLICIES:
Times, dates & prices are subject to change. All sales are final. No refunds and no exchanges. The performance space opens 25 minutes prior to curtain. Patrons are asked to check in for their tickets at least 15 minutes prior to curtain. Patrons are encouraged to schedule adequate time to find adjacent, neighborhood parking or to build in extra time if arriving by bus or on foot.
Latecomers cannot be seated (please, no exceptions~thank you!). There are no refunds and no exchanges. Patrons with special needs are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to curtain. While the entrance from the side entrance into the Plymouth reception hall is fully accessible, there are a few (3) steps leading down into the side courtyard entrance.
All patrons must be seated by five minutes to curtain. This show does not feature an intermission. Patrons leaving the performance space (for any reason) may not be readmitted for the remainder of the show or may be re-seated in the third/back row, at the house manager’s discretion. Washrooms and drinking fountains are located on the second floor and may be accessed by both a stairway and an elevator.
The Boulevard is not responsible for inclement weather, outside events, and other “acts of God” delaying any patron(s) from arriving in time to check in and be seated (no later than ten minutes before curtain). Tickets (whether already purchased or being held for purchase) not picked up by five minutes before curtain are released for resale, at the discretion of the house manager. Patrons arriving after the show has started will be turned away. The clock used by the house manager will be the “Boulevard clock” and no other timepiece, watch, clock, cell phone, or atomic schedule will be recognized.
In just plain English: Schedule your leaving time earlier. Avoid stress, headaches, and potential conflict by planning to arrive 20 or more minutes before–then, if your run a tad behind or the waiter is slow with the check, you are still “in the clear.” Patrons are warmly advised to realistically judge their allotment of time needed for traveling/arriving. If you know you need to use the washroom before a 100-minute/no-intermission show, please be certain to build that extra time into your schedule.
If you are using any walking implement or if you have special needs, please build in that extra time to travel, too. No one is as young as they used to be (heck, our staff is not!). It may take more time for one to travel/arrive in the rain, in the dusk, or to locate parking and then travel from your car to the Plymouth Church. This advice is suggested out of a warm and genuine concern for stragglers who were turned away for both A CONCERT OF NOTE and RX and who were disappointed. The artists rehearse for weeks to get their show “right.” Please respect their attempts at artistry by not disrupting their craft and inconveniencing the other patrons by arriving after “go” time. Thanks!
